Easton Royal is on his official visit to Texas and things have been pretty quiet since he got there.

His activity on social media since arriving in Austin has been far more tempered than it was during his first few hours in Gainesville last weekend when he was visiting the Florida Gators. Royal is committed to the Longhorns, which is why they got the final official visit before the summer dead period begins, but he's also made it clear that Florida and LSU are in the middle of this recruiting battle. He has taken official visits to all three schools.

Easton Royal is keeping things low-key in Austin as Jon Sumrall and Florida wait to pounce

Six hours into Royal's visit to Florida, he was blowing up his social media with pictures of him in a Gators uniform, pictures of him hanging out at the facility and real-time videos of him holding the Heisman Trophy. Even his Instagram was full of reports about his trip to Gainesville and what his thoughts are on the Gators. But the only thing he's shared from his trip to Texas is a picture of a trophy room in the facility.

Who knows why this is happening? Maybe he forgot to charge his phone before he left his home in New Orleans? Maybe Texas doesn't allow recruits to take videos during their official visits and show off their one championship in the past 57 years?

It's hard to say exactly what's going on at Texas right now, but we know that Royal was all the way "turnt up" during his visit to Florida and since then he's talked frequently about how much he vibed with Jon Sumrall and the entire Gators coaching staff.

"The whole staff has been telling me how much I fit the program. They like me as a player and what I can do physically, but also my character and how I fit into the program. Coach Jon Sumrall is probably the more energetic coach out of the three schools. He's got some of that Louisiana seasoning on him. He knows how to wake you up in the morning," Royal said after his visit.

We know it's going to be a waiting game at this point. Royal seems to be mature beyond his years, and he doesn't let the high of an official visit dive into his overall thought process. Obviously, Texas has the commitment, and it's usually a lot easier to keep an elite recruit than it is to flip him,

He said that he loved both his visits to Florida and LSU and after the Texas visit he and his mother will  have a lot to talk about before moving forward. Royal added that he'll make a final announcement at some point, and it's likely to happen before the start of his senior year.

"I really do feel like I can fit into each school — Texas, LSU, Florida — so now I'm just trying to get to the nitty-gritty. I'm trying to soak it all in," Royal concluded.
