Before teaming up in Gainesville and delivering one of the greatest seasons in Florida Basketball history, Alijah Martin and Will Richard were familiar foes.

They played against each other during the 2022-23 season, when Martin played for FAU and Richard was in his first year with the Gators. Martin and the Owls prevailed 76-74 at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.

Martin finally had a chance for revenge Thursday at the NBA's Summer League. Martin's Toronto Raptors bested Richard's Golden State Warriors 81-69 to get even in the all-time series.

Despite coming off the bench, Martin played 21 minutes in the contest and finished with 13 points -- the second most by a Raptors player. He added seven rebounds and a pair of steals as well.

The Warriors' starting lineup featured Richard, and the No. 56 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft put up seven points, five rebounds, four assists and a steal.

Richard struggled with his jumper, going 1-for-6 from beyond the arc, but showed his versatility by chipping in with peripheral stats.

Both Richard and Martin have been standouts throughout their time in Summer League. Toronto is a perfect 4-0 in Las Vegas, and clinched a spot in the semifinals by downing the Warriors.

In those four games, Martin is averaging 8.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. He's delivered some jaw dropping highlights as well.

Richard has been a focal point for the Warriors Summer League squad, averaging 11.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals across six games.

While Summer League isn't very comparable to regular-season NBA action, and second-rounders aren't expected to crack the rotation as rookies in most scenarios, Richard and Martin have certainly made a case for early action.

Martin's semifinal matchup will be broadcasted on ESPN at 4:00pm ET on Saturday, and a victory would give the Raptors a spot in the Las Vegas Summer League Finals set for Sunday night. Richard's final Summer League contest will come Saturday at 7:30pm ET against the Cavaliers.
