Florida Football Confidence Meter Week 5: Kentucky

  • Last Season: Kentucky won 26-16
  • HFH Confidence Meter Preseason: 40%
  • HFH Confidence Meter Last Week: 45%
  • HFH Confidence Meter Presently: 55%

The one thing that will scare us to death is that Kentucky always seems to find a way to make life miserable in Lexington.

But beyond voodoo magic, the Wildcats have showcased nothing these first two weeks that should scare Florida football.

After finally dispatching Ball State thanks to a fumble returned for a touchdown and a kickoff returned for a touchdown, Kentucky followed that up by going into halftime tied with Eastern Kentucky.

With ten minutes left in the game, Kentucky still only led by four.

Devin Leary has had pedestrian numbers with a 60% completion rate and yards per passing attempt ranked 59th.

The Wildcats are running the ball reasonably well, averaging 5.8 yards per carry, good for 17th in the country.
