Florida Baseball commits that went pro: Riley Greene

From 2019 until this past season, the Florida Gators didn’t make the College World Series.

One player that could have helped the Gators get over that hump is a player currently batting .305 in MLB this season.

But alas, as The Corporation in WWF once said, Riley Greene had no chance of ever arriving in Gainesville.

Greene was part of the 2019 class that included Josh Rivera, Tyler Nesbitt, and Brandon Sproat, but he was drafted with the fifth overall pick by the Detroit Tigers.

Greene was fast-tracked to The Show and made his debut last season at the age of 21.

As one of the bright young stars of the Tigers, he already has a career WAR of 3.4 in a year and a half on Major League experience.
