Ranking the prospective starting quarterbacks in the SEC

SEC football: He isn’t known for throwing darts
Jaxson Dart at Ole Miss is a really talented player and a great dual-threat QB. But he hasn’t necessarily been the most consistent passer for Lane Kiffin.
Despite some throwing concerns, he still produces tons of offense for the Rebs and has gotten better in the pocket.
Last season he threw for 2,974 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions with a 62.4% completion rate.
On the ground, he ran for 614 yards but only one score, averaging 4.8 yards per carry.
I think pound-for-pound, Carson Beck is a more talented player than Dart. But I gave Dart the nod here for the same reason I’ve mentioned before, experience.
Dart has a season at USC and a year as the starter for Ole Miss under his belt, so he’s seen plenty of football and knows what a Saturday in the SEC brings.
Plus, Lane Kiffin’s offenses are always going to be good. Jaxson is in a good situation and continues to develop his passing game.
Look for him to be even better this season.
