Ranking the prospective starting quarterbacks in the SEC

SEC football: Who’s next after Stetson Bennett?
Some Gator fans may remember the name Carson Beck from when he was a recruit. He was long favored to be a Gator before the Bulldogs swooped in and took him from Dan Mullen.
But then we got Anthony Richardson instead. So we won that deal.
But anyways, Beck was a 4-star player coming out of Jacksonville, and now figures to get his chance at the helm in Athens.
He appeared in six games last year as Bennett’s backup and recorded 310 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions with a 74.3% completion rate.
The reason I have Beck down here at nine is the same reason I have Weigman low: I just don’t know what we’re going to see.
Carson is a talented kid on a great team, but we haven’t seen him with the pressure of leading the best team in the country all on his own. Maybe it’ll hurt him, or maybe it will make him play even better.
Regardless of Beck’s play, UGA should be just fine this season.
