Former Florida Gator Anthony Richardson has been in the news ever since the Gators’ win over Utah to start off last season.

It was all draft buzz, people marveling at what he can do, and fans speculating how high he could go in the NFL Draft.

As is the case with any prospect, there were also some criticisms of his play, primarily about his throwing accuracy, consistency, and decision-making.

But one thing that people can’t find anything to complain about is Anthony Richardson’s character and the man that he is off the field.

Yesterday, Dov Kleiman, an NFL reporter took to Twitter to tell a story about AR’s actions after a rookie event.

As the tweet thread says, there was absolutely no expectation that Richardson, nor any of the players at the event, would stay after to clean up and help.

But when Troy Vincent told Anthony that he was free to leave and didn’t need to help, Anthony said “No it’s alright, I’d like to stay and help.”

He was the last person there along with the cleaning staff.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve written about Richardson doing something he didn’t have to in order to help others.

We covered how he spent a day last summer helping a local family move, rather than relax or work out.

After just about every game in the fall, AR would take tons of time to take photos with, sign things for, and have fun with fans who waited to see him.

You just don’t see that kind of humbleness from football players that often after games, especially one the caliber of AR.

We all got to see Anthony’s character on display during his time with the Gators. Now the NFL and the rest of the country get to see it too.

Keep up with Florida football at Hail Florida Hail.
