The annual Reese’s Senior Bowl takes place this weekend, allowing a multitude of seniors and juniors to showcase their talents in front of NFL coaches in preparation for the NFL Draft.

The Florida Gators have two participants in the game, O’Cyrus Torrence and Richard Gouraige.

Senior Bowl 2023

Date: Saturday, February 4, 2023
Time: 2:30pm ET
Where: Mobile, Alabama (University of South Alabama)
TV: NFL Network

Both Torrence and Gouraige will be on the American Team, where they will be tasked with protecting QBs Max Duggan (TCU), Hendon Hooker (Tennessee), Tyson Bagnet (Sheperd), and Clayton Tune (Houston).

Torrence and Gouraige will also make holes for running backs Chris Rodriguez (Kentucky), Kenny McIntosh (Georgia), Eric Gray (Oklahoma), and Tyjae Spears (Tulane)

On paper, the American Team has a much stronger roster, as the National Team only features one player from the SEC. Even if the game is a blowout, much of the benefit from the week comes from the practices during the week and the interaction with NFL coaches.

The teams will be led by the following coaches:

American Team

Head Coach: Chicago Bears Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy

Offensive Coordinator:  Atlanta Falcons Quarterbacks Coach Charles London

Defensive Coordinator:    New England Patriots Defensive Line Coach DeMarcus Covington

National Team

Head Coach: Las Vegas Raiders Defensive Coordinator Patrick Graham

Offensive Coordinator:     New Orleans Saints QB Coach/Pass Game Coordinator Ronald Curry

Defensive Coordinator:    Pittsburgh Steelers Defensive Backs Coach Grady Brown

According to the Senior Bowl website, over 900 NFL personnel members will be in attendance this week, and claims that 106 players from the game last year went on to be drafted.

Practice will begin today for the Senior Bowl, with the American and National teams holding separate practices. Both squads will practice today, tomorrow, and Thursday before taking Friday off for a street party that will feature Nelly (no word if it’s Country Grammar Nelly or Florida Georgia Line Nelly).
