The Gators saw their score drop by half a point last week compared to two weeks ago against Auburn. Despite that, Florida still won 197.325 to 196.450. Georgia does have the ability to make this meet interesting if Florida isn’t on form. The Bulldogs posted a score of 197.225 last week against Kentucky, its highest score of the season and higher than any score Georgia posted last year.

Georgia does go slightly deeper into their bench when filling out rotations, using 12 gymnasts last week to Florida’s 11 and only having two gymnasts complete the all-around compared to Florida’s two.

The Bulldogs aested Florida’s score on the floor exercise last week 49.425 to 49.300, led by Haley De Jong and Soraya Hawthorne both posting over a 9.90. Georgia also tied Florida’s score in the vault, with both teams scoring 49.225. Naya Howard posted a 9.90 and Amanda Cashman and Hawthrone were right behind with 9.875.

The Florida Gators will of course be led by its dynamic trio of Kayla Dicello, Trinity Thomas, and Leanne Wong. After ppostingthree perfect 10s against Auburn, Florida couldn’t quite find that magic on the road last week. Back at home tonight, we’ll see if Wong and Thomas can go perfect again.

Florida will also hope for a bounce back from Sloane Blakely, who scored 9.875 on the balance beam against Auburn but faltered to a 9.80 last week vs Alabama. The same goes for Wong on the beam, who went from a perfect 10 to 9.875.

Tonight’s meet5:45 pm has a special start time of 5:45 and will be Alumni Night inside the O’Dome.

Keep up with all things Florida Gators with Hail Florida Hail.
