Florida football: Gators land 4 star LB Myles Graham
By Will Thomas
If anybody has the secret sauce or whatever it is that Billy Napier has been using on the recruiting trail, let me know because I can’t believe how hot the Gators have been.
Their momentum continued today as the Gators landed 4 star LB Myles Graham out of Atlanta, GA. This came not even half an hour after landing Kamran James.
The Gators beat out Alabama, Ohio St, Auburn, and Texas A&M for Graham’s services.
247 Sports has Graham ranked as the 2nd best LB in the class of 2024, and the 52nd ranked player nationally.
Myles does have a previous connection to UF, as his father Earnest Graham was a running back for the Gators back in the day, and also played 8 seasons in the NFL.
Graham does have solid size at 6’1”-200, but could add a bit of mass as he makes the transition to the college ranks. For what it’s worth, Graham hits like he’s 350 pounds already.
When you watch Graham’s film, it’s obvious that he’s a pure athlete that can do just about anything. He’s taken snaps as a running back, as well as in the wildcat formation, because his speed can tear a defense apart and he’ll run over anything in his way.
His primary spot is linebacker however, which is where he’ll play for Florida football. Graham is an absolute bruiser, and any ball carrier is going to be distracted looking for him during the play.
So where does Graham fit in with the Gators?
If he already had D-1 size, he could see some meaningful snaps from the moment he steps on campus. And maybe he’ll add that mass in the next two years and be ready when he gets to campus.
But for now, it’s likely that Graham will be a depth piece for at least his first year in Gainesville before taking on meaningful playing time.
When Myles finally gets his chance, I think he’ll open a ton of eyes. Someone who flies around the field and takes ball carrier’s heads off is going to get tons of attention in the SEC.
Graham’s potential is sky high, and the coaches at UF can help him reach it.
Keep up with Florida football here.
