Leading the WR Room

Ricky Pearsall, a transfer WR in from ASU, is bringing a lot of excitement to Gainesville. The offseason brought lots of questions about the Gators’ group of receivers, and Napier seemed to answer most of those with the acquisition of Pearsall.

Ricky is coming in as a junior, and has plenty of experience out wide. Last year with the Sun Devils he totaled 48 catches for 580 yards, and has the longest TD of the year for ASU.

The Gators are going to be depending on Ricky to bring valuable experience and depth to the WR group. Sure, they return guys like Justin Shorter and Xzavier Henderson, but Pearsall’s experience and versatility will be invaluable to the offense.

It’s also worth noting that Ricky earned #1 this offseason, which proves that he comes as advertised and will be dynamic on the field.
