Tony Mitchell – CB – Thompson HS

Rank among ’23 cornerbacks – #3

The final player on our list is the most recent visitor to the Florida football campus, that being Tony Mitchell.  Tony may be the most interested in Florida based on his reaction after a recent visit, posting a picture on Instagram in Gators gear with the location set to “Home :)”.  He also told Blake Alderman of 247Sports that the Gators are in the lead for his recruitment.

This bodes extremely well for Florida football, as Mitchell is another phenomenal prospect to look forward to if recruited.  Ranked 3rd at the CB position, and 19th nationally regardless of position (according to 247 Composite) he has some great talent on the field that the Gators should want.  At 6’2″ 180, Tony has great size at the position and has some great range to his game where he can carry deep into the field.  Whether he plays corner, nickel, or safety he should have a spot with the Gators where he can thrive if recruited.
