SEC Media Days are coming to a close, and Dan Mullen became a topic for discussion, even though he was not speaking today.

Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz decided to poke the bear and threw a shot at Florida’s head coach.

Drinkwitz spoke about playing the Gators this season, and according to Ben Frederickson of the St.Louis Post-Dispatch, Drinkwitz said, “I’m praying for snow. Dan (Mullen) is going to complain about everything anyway.”

That is a bold strategy for Drinkwitz, considering he is only entering his second season as the head coach of Missouri.

He must have a short memory, though, because, in his first season, Drinkwitz and his team got crushed 41-17.

Dan Mullen’s only complaint in that game was not scoring 50.

I am sure Drinkwitz was having some fun, but I would not be saying things like that if my team got beat that badly. I also would watch what I say because the Gators will give Missouri another beatdown this season, so that bulletin board material only helps the Gators.

The week of practice leading up to playing Missouri is not very tense, considering the Gators know they will win, so giving them extra motivation during that week is a bad call.

There is a difference in trolling another team if you beat them the year before, kind of like how Mullen trolled Georgia perfectly at the SEC Media Days. Mullen poked fun about winning the SEC East even though the media picked Georgia to win this season.

The Gators will dominate Georgia again in 2021, and they are certainly going to put an even worse beatdown on Missouri.

Mullen is no stranger to making great, trolling comments, so I look forward to hearing what he says after the game. I wonder if he will mention that Texas and Oklahoma are interested in joining the SEC, and maybe Missouri can go back to the Big 12 where they belong.

Next. Mullen’s comments about Jones should excite Gators fans. dark
