The Florida Gators 2022 recruiting class has a chance to be special, and five-star defensive tackle Walter Nolen could be a significant reason for that.

Florida has been putting in work this recruiting class, making it the most enjoyable recruiting class to cover in a very long time.

What the Gators are doing is clearly working as the No. 1 defensive tackle in the nation (via 247 Sports) has Florida in his Top 5 schools.

247 Sports has Nolen ranked as the No. 3 recruit in the nation, and if the Gators can land him and pair him with another elite defensive tackle, Gervon Dexter, the Gators may have one of the best interior lines in college football.

Florida will obviously need to get him to commit, but luckily for the coaching staff, Florida’s current players and recruits are doing everything they can as well.

Walter Nolen is an elite defensive tackle, and the Gators need to land him.

2022 quarterback commit Nick Evers has been a leader already for the Gators this offseason. Evers may have already committed to Florida, but he is still working hard to get other elite players to make their way to Gainesville.

Whenever an undecided, elite player has the Gators are one of their final schools, Evers has made it popular to tweet at them, and he did that with Nolen.

However, it isn’t just Evers’ doing his best to recruit Nolen. Others have jumped in, most notably Dexter, who was the No. 12 recruit in the nation (via 247 Sports) when he committed to Florida in 2020.

Dexter, who had a must-read tweet for all Gators fans and recruits, raved about how Florida progresses its players and maximizes their potential. He tweeted at Nolen and gave him even more assurance that Florida is the place to be.

Another Gators’ defensive lineman Zachary Carter also chimed in and agreed with Dexter.

Dexter has kept the push for Nolen going, also tweeting about the idea of them playing next to each other, saying it would be “something other coaches will not wanna see.

Nolen visited the Gators on June 4th and June 11th, so it’s clear the coaching staff wants the elite defensive tackle.

The 6-4, 300-pound stud looked great rocking the Gators’ uniform during his visit.

If the Gators can land Nolen, they are well on their way to one of the best and most memorable recruiting classes they have ever built. And we may talk about it for a long time, as it could lead to lots of winning in the future.

Next. Gervon Dexter will be an impact player for the Gators. dark
