Buck

I’m particularly interested to see the talent that Florida possesses here. With Brenton Cox available, we should see another impactful year at buck, even after the loss of Jonathan Greenard.

Cox is a former five-star transfer from Georgia who missed the entire 2019 season due to the NCAA’s inability to give him the go-ahead. Now, he is ready for action and it’s safe to say that we should all be prepared to hear his name quite a bit throughout the year.

Thankfully, Todd Grantham has some depth at buck. When Cox is asked to move inside, we should see Jeremiah Moon make an appearance.

Moon is a redshirt senior who has shown progression year-to-year in Grantham’s defense.

Ultimately, the experience that Moon provides is irreplaceable and cannot be replicated by talent or potential. The veteran from Hoover, Alabama has been a reoccurring name in Florida football for the past few seasons.

And while both linebackers should be sufficient enough to get the job done, Grantham will have a slew of younger guys in his back pocket.

David Reese, junior, will make a return after missing all of 2019 with an injury, and an athletic Mohamoud Diabate may also see some action at buck depending on the down and situation.

Projection

1- Brenton Cox

2- Jeremiah Moon

3- Mohamoud Diabate
