After canceling spring practice, Florida football’s depth chart is uncertain. Now, it’s time for us to make predictions.

Florida football has achieved a lot in the past two decades. Two national championships, six SEC championship appearances, and a Heisman winner.

And while many factors play into the success of college football programs, there is one element that stands out when looking at Florida football: defense.

When Will Muschamp’s offenses were sputtering, the defensive units kept them in games.

And when Jim McElwain’s quarterbacks were underperforming, the defense remained strong.

It was very frustrating for Gator fans. We knew that Florida’s defense had championship-winning talent.

But it was wasted by horrendous offensive play.

Now, Dan Mullen has added a competent offense to compliment another fantastic defensive squad.

And the future has hardly been brighter.

It’s time to predict where incoming talent and familiar faces will line up in Todd Grantham’s unique scheme.

Let’s get started.
