The season never ends when you are a coach for a big-time football program such as Florida football. You are either preparing for the next game or you are looking to add to the pool of talent you have on your team.

For Coach Dan Mullen and his Florida football staff, the search for talent is a full-time job in itself.

This year has been different only in the fact they have recruited some of the top talents in the country and the feel of the Gators is back.

This has been a very successful recruiting season for Florida football and the fun has yet to let up. There are several transfers and HS players that have not committed yet.

Let’s also not forget that 2021 recruiting is well underway.  Here are a few guys that have made their way into Gainsville.

Jonnie Brown DT Tampa Bay 2020

The defensive line at UF is a very big position. We have a lot of history of great D linemen and when you put on a Florida football uniform and play the defensive line, you better bring it.

The one thing I can say is Mr. Brown will fill those shoes no doubt. he is 6-2 250 pounds and can be described in two words, speed, and power. He can play inside or outside on either end.

He gets around the tackle with ease and when he hits you, you will know. He will be a great addition to the defense that had a bit of trouble with tackling at times this year.

And if they need some help at running back, well he does that too! Welcome to Gator Nation.

Jared Wilson OL Clemmings, N.C 2021

Wilson is a 6-4, 325-pound offensive lineman who was a commit to the University of Georgia. He is what we call a mean nasty guy, on the field, of course, a guy that will just throw another guy around. Big and strong,  just what we need on the line. Although he is a Georgia, and he technically may still be but he seemed really happy to get the offer from Florida football;

“It means a lot to me…I got really excited and it made my day when they offered me.”

He is not the first lineman from Georgia to turn away after Sam Pittman, Georgia’s ex-offensive line coach left. Wilson will make a visit to Florida football on March 7 and as we all know, once you come to the Swamp you will never want to leave.

These are just two of the latest to receive offers and I would expect both to take those offers. There is something special going on at Florida, can’t put my finger on it yet.

Next. Gators get big boost in secondary for 2020. dark

But Coach Mullen and his staff have got a very special team right now. Florida football is in great hands.
