This is that time of year where Florida football and others are hot on the recruiting trail. The regular season has ended and there is a gap between then and the bowl season.

The NCAA allows coaches to go do home visits during a two week period during this gap. Coach Mullen and the Florida football staff have not been lost in this as they have hit the road to try and bring home some sought after recruits.

When you are a recruit, having a coach fro a major college come into your house is a big deal. It signifies that all your hard work is paying off.

When you are a five-star or four-star recruit this is something that just happens. But there have been many that at this moment have decided to change their minds.

So in light of this recruiting time, here are some recruits that the coaching staff of Florida football hit the road to bring back to Gainsville.

 Four-star running back Henry Parrish

Greg Knox went to visit the four-star running back out of Miami. He has committed to the University of Pitt but there is always that chance when you get a home visit. He stated on his Twitter it was a great in-home visit.

If you do not put in the tie you don’t get the results. This is the type of back that is needed right now to help complete the offense. He recently won the CBSMiami.com/NatMooreTrophy given by the CBS Miami station for his outstanding play. We hope you come down and make your home in Gainsville.

Five-star tight end Darnell Washington

The 6-foot-7 260-pound tight end out of Las Vegas. I have said it before about this man. He is one of the best prospects at TE or maybe all positions. He has all the skills you could ask for.

He can run a good route and then catch the ball with his great hands. He has the size to out dual a DB and the ability to block for the run or downfield.

He would be a great addition to the Gators offense. Cory in Rivals article said this about Florida’s chances;

"“Florida definitely made a strong impression and they’re one of the schools that utilize the tight end position. They have multiple tight ends on the field a lot of the time. Tight ends coach Larry Scott has been out to Washington’s school in Las Vegas multiple times and they’re really developing a strong relationship.”"

The word is that Georgia is still the front runner, but the home visit this week could be that move that pushes him to Florida football. Darnell Washington, Chomp Chomp!

Four-star defensive lineman Jalen Lee

Mullen and coach Turner went to have a home visit with commit Jalen Lee out of Watson LA. He will an excellent addition to a DL that needs a little help in the middle.

At 6-foot-3, 294 pounds, he has the size to hold the middle but it is quickness that impresses. He gets off the line with such quickness he often goes untouched into the backfield. He is a man playing against boys and will thrive as a Gator.

It was a tight battle between LSU and Florida for Lee but in the end, he chose the right place to be and we are all happy to have him here. With his signing, it brings Florida football to #9 nationally in recruiting. There is still some work to do.

Many got home visits from Florida football

There were many different recruits that got home visits these are just a few of them. Avery Helm got a visit, Jonathan Odom, Marc Britt, Jaheim Bell, Lamar Goods, and others. They make sure to not miss a beat when they get this time to go to the recruit’s home. It is a special time for the and for the recruits and their families.

This is not the last time these recruits and others will be talking to coaches from Florida football. It is just part of the game, loose players gain them through recruiting. Once again the future is in good hands, Mullen’s hands.

dark. Next. Recruiting just got hotter with coaching changes

The next game for Florida football is Dec 30th Orange Bowl against Virginia.
