Can’t seem to find a replacement

Apparently, Tallahassee isn’t the cozy get-a-way spot for a football coach Florida State officials thought it was.

Since parting ways with Taggart, the short-list of coaches has been solid, but no one seems to want the job.

Former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops was top of the list — and why wouldn’t he be? But, nothing materialized from any negotiations (if there were any, to begin with).

Earlier in November, Florida State alum Deion Sanders emerged as a top candidate for the job. Although, I’m not sure why.

Yeah, he could recruit, but he’s not one with coaching chops.

Didn’t stop some Florida football fans from trolling:

Will it happen? Who knows. The coaching search (along with just about every other aspect of the athletic department in Tallahassee) seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

Heck, even Bob’s brother and Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops has told Florida State, um, no.

The bottom line is Seminole Nation has given plenty for us Florida football fans to chew on and spit out as we settle in for FSU hate week.

So, pop the popcorn, get cozy with your favorite Twitter viewing device and enjoy it.

Happy meme-ing (if that’s even a thing)!
