If your team in college football is going to be successful then getting top recruits is a must. Getting those 2020 recruits are nice but if you are not getting guys locked up in 2021, 2022 then you are behind already. Florida football is no different and they are more than taking care of business.

The Florida football coaching staff have been actively recruiting as all schools have and they have landed some of the biggest names in the 2021 class.

The defensive backfield is an area that is special as the term DBU is one that often describes Florida football defensive backs and the school that produces so many.

In that spirit, These two recruits will hold that title down with pride.

Demetrius Hill (6-2, 182, Miami, FL. Springs)

Hill is 6-foot-2 and180 pounds out of Miami. This guy has all the skills you look for in a CB. He has the size to handle big receivers or tight ends and the speed to stay with either.

One thing that makes him special is his ability to make a hit. He is not afraid of contact and that is what separates him.

Another aspect that separates him is his ability to throw the ball.

On several occasions he has played QB and threw for a touchdown or ran for the touchdown, either way, he can be dangerous with the ball in his hands.

Florida football is the first to offer him a scholarship and for that, he will forever be grateful;

"“I was told that your first offer would be special and it was special. I shed a tear. All my hard work is finally paying off.” Hill said. “ Coach English said he just watched my film and he was very impressed and I had an offer from the University of Florida. I had no idea it was coming. I was in total shock.”"

Now although I did not hear ‘I’m a Gator in there,’ we all know once you come to Swamp you will never want to go anywhere else. We shall welcome him into Gator Nation.

Terrion Arnold (6-2, 178, Tallahassee John Paul II Catholic)

Arnold is a 6-2, 178-pound defensive back from John Paul II Catholic school in Tallahassee, Florida. You know the type of guy you say is so good everyone wants him? well everyone literally wants him.

Looking at all his offers I just don’t see many that passed on him. He has speed and the ability to cover for sure.

But man can this guy hit. I like to show a video of every recruit to let you see what I see in them. But for this guy a video of him making a tackle across the middle, wow. and there are many highlights of him just like this one.

He is everything that embodies Florida football. he has only nice things to say as well. As he lives in Tallahassee he has been a fan for years;

"“It means a lot, it’s only two hours away and my family can still come and see me play,” Arnold said on what the offer means to him. “I grew up Florida fan out of Florida State, Florida and Miami so I’ve always been a Florida fan. It means a lot to me.”"

Sounds like Florida football got the inside to me. One thing is for sure, if you come to Florida you will playing in the Best conference in America in the SEC, and will always be in contention. We hope you make the Gators your choice and we will welcome you with open arms. #Gatorstogether.
