The lifeline to Florida football is the recruits they get to come, they can make a champion for one year, or for many if they do it right.

In this day and age, a guy can commit and then de-commit and then end up someplace different than anyone expected.

Some might tell you if the recruits on the line or those that have committed, and they see you lose to a team, like Florida football, that wants the recruit as well he will go with the winner.

Much like last Saturday when Florida football lost a hard-fought game to Georgia. Would that sway a guy to go to a certain school? Or would it make a guy that has committed to de-commit?

From my experience, no.

Most of these men, for the most part, know what they want and where they want to go. Sure they will take that official visit to everywhere, or as many as they allow, five by the way, but they know for the most part who they are choosing.

Several recruits were contacted and this was a brief statement from them on the loss to Georgia.

Jahari Rogers‍

A four-star Arlington (Texas) High School cornerback, Rogers committed to the Gators this summer.

He has amazing speed and the ability to cover like only a Florida DB can cover. This recruit tells you just how good Mullen is. This guy was recruited hard by Texas as well. Not often the Longhorns lose a good prospect from their own backyard.

When he was asked what he thought of the loss he stated:

"“It was a tough loss, but we just got to bounce back next week. They still played hard.”"

You got to love the WE part of that. Already a Gator at heart and as I said, did not make him change his mind. You back your team win or lose and he did just that. Can’t wait to see you in Gainesville Rogers.

Issiah Walker‍

You want to see the future of Florida football front line this young man is it. He committed to the Gators as he was a big fan of the coaching staff.

They took the time to talk with him and make him feel comfortable. He is now a full-fledged Gator. This is what he had to say about the loss to Georgia:

"“I didn’t get to watch the game but I saw some clips and on both sides of the ball, we did good. Iron sharpens iron.”"

You see a common theme here right? The fact they all use the WE word is great. Shows they bonded to the school and the culture already.

First step complete. Also, no one has a negative comment. You could see how hard the Gators played and if you are an incoming recruit you just want to play that way as well. That is why you come to Florida.

Richie Leonard‍

Out of Coco Fl, Leonard is a 6-foot 3, 295-pound offensive tackle that can create a hole. When I think of Richie all I see is power.

He has the ability to just move people out of the way. He is just what has been missing on this line this year, a run blocker.

The best part though is might be an even better pass blocker. he has the quickness to be a strong side tackle and the skill to keep the best defensive ends off balance.  this is what he said about the loss to Georgia;

"“I think we’re a really really good second-half team.”"

Yes, three for three on the WE. I know these are just simple remarks about one game, but my point was just that.

It will take more than losing one game to a rival to change the minds or the attitudes of these young men. These are men that are now apart of a culture, a team, that demands a winning attitude.

Next. Gators No. 10 in CFP rankings, and that's okay. dark

I think it is safe to say,  Florida football’s future is in good hands.
