Kyle Trask

Florida football quarterback Kyle Trask continues to impress in the trenches.

Heck, against LSU he even decided to take off with the football for some positive yardage. In fact, Saturday’s loss was the first time this season Trask ended a game with overall positive yardage (21 yards).

But, more importantly, his command of the offense keeps getting better and better every week.

One other thing to chew on is this: In 136 passing attempts, Trask has only been intercepted three times.

That means Trask is very efficient in the passing game. He’s not taking any unnecessary risks and his receivers are respecting the play and getting themselves open.

Granted, his long pass game isn’t great, but it doesn’t need to be.

Kyle Pitts

Tight end Kyle Pitts has been a stalwart receiver since Feleipe Franks went down with his season-ending ankle injury.

The connection between Pitts and Trask has been noted before, but we continue to see how this relationship is paying off.

Pitts is a threat to any secondary in the Southeastern Conference and, likely, in the nation.

He stands tall, has great hands and can power after the catch. He’s also pretty effective in getting open in a pass rush as well.

All-in-all, Pitts is the best receiver for Florida football presently (362 yards on 30 catches) and I don’t think Dan Mullen and crew are going to stop exploiting Pitts’ advantages.
