Okay, so this battle could have easily made the No. 1 spot.

Here’s why it didn’t: Florida has more crucial games than this one, and, well, that is really the only reason. As you will see once we unveil more of this list, Florida has some brutal battles before it takes on the Seminoles, and said battles will likely decide the SEC East race.

With that in mind, Florida State is Florida’s biggest rival, and that is reason enough to watch this duel. Also, the Seminoles will enter the season with the No. 4 ranking in the Coaches Poll, meaning they will have enough talent to compete for a national title.

If both teams are undefeated entering this game, or are at least in the College Football Playoff race, then this will be by far the biggest game of Florida’s (and Florida State’s) season — no questions asked. Until then, we will just have to play the waiting game.
