Brian Poole, 87 Overall

The Gators secondary would be extremely tough to beat with the pass in NCAA Football 16 and it’s not just because of Vernon Hargreaves III.

William Poole is the other forgotten corner on the Gators defense and he has quietly become one of the team’s most dependable captains, which is why he deserves an 87 overall rating.

The highest ratings that Poole would probably earn would be his man-coverage skills, his awareness and even his tackling.

I give Poole an 89 in man-to-man coverage, his awareness would be a 88 and his tackling would be an 80, extremely high for a corner back.

Where Poole loses overall points is in the zone coverage skills and athleticism.

Poole was burned pretty badly in a couple of big plays in 2014 by not being in the correct position, and his speed and agility doesn’t pop out on game tape.

The senior corner does make plays, especially with teams refusing to even look to Hargreaves side of the field at times, making possibly playing the Gators corner backs in  NCAA 16 a daunting prospect.
