Offensive Line

OT- David Sharpe, Sophomore

OG- Mason Halter, RS/Transfer Senior

C- Trip Thurman, RS Senior

OG- Andrew Mike, RS Freshman

OT- Martez Ivey, Freshman

Without a doubt, as every Gators fan knows, the offensive line is the second most important development to watch for in 2015 after the QB position.

The Gators are replacing four o-line starters from the 2014 team and what’s even more alarming is that as a collective group, the offensive line has 10 career starts on the NCAA Division-I level.

And oh, by the way, all 10 of those starts are coming from Trip Thurman alone.

The Gators did receive some immediate help on the line with their acquisition of the two-time FCS All-American Mason Halter.

Now the problem is where exactly do you play Halter, with Sharpe inheriting the LT spot and Ivey able to play at RT right away?

In all likelihood, Halter will probably start at RT over Ivey, but for now, I’ve plugged Halter in the LG spot, allowing Ivey to gain valuable game experience right away.

The offensive line has to stay healthy and protect whoever is starting at quarterback come Opening Day– the offense’s success is relying on it in 2015.
