Florida Gators 5-Star Recruits: Have They Turned in 5-Star College Careers?
2007: No. 1 Guard, No. 12 overall
UF Career: Bust due to injury
When Wilson was brought in as a part of the 2007 recruiting class, he was considered the better prospect than his fellow classmates, including Maurkice and Mike Pouncey.
It just seemed like Wilson could never catch a break to live up to his potential with the injury bug constantly derailing his career.
Wilson required two knee surgeries in his very first year on campus after injuring his meniscus in preseason.
In 2009 Wilson fractured both of his feet and in 2010 he reinjured his left meniscus. Wilson eventually stayed healthy enough to play meaningful games and in 2012 was finally a starting guard.
After graduating from Florida, Wilson has been coaching football at Gulf Coast High School in Naples, FL. since 2013.
