UF Career: Great, Impact disrupter on defense

Dante Fowler Jr. has always been a versatile defender and he proved that during his three years at Florida.

Fowler Jr. started his Gators career at OLB during his freshman year and he was surprisingly productive, tallying 30 tackles (eight for loss) and 2.5 sacks.

In 2013, Fowler Jr. became a starter and a team captain where he recorded 50 tackles, including 10.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks.

In his final year as a Gator, Fowler Jr. had his best yet, where he had a career-high 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and was an All-SEC performer.

He finished his career with a three sack performance against East Carolina, cementing his legacy as an all-time explosive player in UF history.

Fowler Jr. decided to enter the 2015 NFL Draft and was selected third by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fowler Jr. will miss the 2015 season after tearing his ACL in preseason drills.
