2010: No. 1 Defensive End, No.1 overall
UF Career: Disappointing, injuries took a toll
Easily the most heralded recruit to come to Florida since Percy Harvin, Ronald Powell was expected to light the college world on fire.
Powell was continually forced to play the DE position, when he clearly would have much more effective as a pass rushing OLB.
Powell started 12 games in his sophomore year before he tore his ACL twice in his junior year. Powell came back in 2013, where he started eight games, recording four sacks and eight QB hurries.
Powell finished his career with 83 total tackles and 11 sacks, a far cry from the career many envisioned for him in 2010.
Powell was drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, where he appeared in 14 games.
