No. 4 Jeff Chandler (1997-2001)

Now I move into the actual place kickers.

Jeff Chandler kicked for the Gators during the final years of the Steve Spurrier Era. He was a part of two Orange Bowl victories in his sophomore and senior seasons.

After four years, Chandler finished his career 67 for 80 on field goal attempts (83.8 field goal percentage), 167 for 180 on extra point attempts (92.8 extra point percentage), and he scored a total of 367 points to top everyone on this list.

In addition to being a member of two Orange Bowl-winning teams, Chandler’s other recognitions include:

  • Second-team All-American in 1999
  • First-team All-SEC in 1999 and 2001
  • SEC Champion in 2000

After graduating, Chandler entered the 2002 NFL Draft and was chosen 102nd overall in the fourth round by the San Francisco 49ers.

His draft selection was and still is the highest that any Gator kicker has ever gone in the draft.

Despite this feat, Chandler’s NFL career was not too long as he hopped between six different teams.

He retired from the league in 2006.
