I remember being there too. I felt like my ears were going to bleed:

Game Day Quote:

"“These are prideful guys, and so they respond in the right way. We have resilient guys, too. They’ll continue to improve on it. Are they going to be perfect? No. We’re going to strive for perfection and I know we’re not going to get there, but we’re going to keep striving for it. I think we have the right guys in the room for doing it. They want to do the right thing, they want to be good. Like I said earlier, they continue to improve. I like where we’re at, but again, we’re facing a great offense, a great team that is going to challenge us down the field. We’re really got to be on it on Saturday.” – Defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin on Florida’s secondary since the Missouri game. (h/t GatorSports)"

More from Florida Gators Football

The Gators have lost two straight in The Swamp and are just 2-2 on the season at home. That’s not for lack of effort on the attendance front. Fans have been loud and proud despite the early season struggles. Now, after coming out listless in one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen (against Missouri), Florida has a chance to “take back The Swamp” versus South Carolina. It’s only fitting UF’s trying to gain back the homefield advantage that made them so tough during the 90s against the Head Ball Coach, Steve Spurrier. Spurrier was at the helm of the most dominant home stretch in Florida history, coining the phrase “The Swamp”. But this game won’t be about Spurrier in The Swamp, it’s about the players on the field. Florida has one of the best defenses in the country; South Carolina has one of the best offenses in the country. While the Gators offense has improved under QB Treon Harris, the Gamecock defense has continued to struggle. That may just be enough to put Florida over the top in this one. The Gators secondary will especially be tested as the ‘Cocks come in with the SEC’s second-ranked pass offense and 19th overall in the country. Florida’s secondary has improved and limited big plays since the Mizzou disaster and will have to continue to make big plays to come out with a W. All the pressure will be on the Gators as a shot at the SEC Championship is on the line. With a win, Florida will have done all it can do to keep those hopes alive as the Gators become big fans of Auburn, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Arkansas. Not only would a win against South Carolina keep the faith, but it would also mean Florida would be bowl eligible after a one year hiatus. That may not seem like a big deal to you, but I guarantee the players, especially the seniors, want to go out on a high note after the regular season.
