It was the Matt Jones and Kelvin Taylor show last week in Jacksonville as the Gators got back on the track to bowl eligibility. Both Jones and Taylor ran for over 190 yards as the Gators crushed Georgia. Now the focus shifts to a Vanderbilt team that has struggled on the season. Which means Florida can’t let it’s guard down and needs to have laser focus. The Gators should be fine on defense as the ‘Dores are on its fourth QB of the season with an offense that ranks 110th or worse in every major category.. On offense, it’s likely UF will be able to get past VU with another impressive rushing performance, but it might be a good idea to let QB Treon Harris throw more than six passes against the 71st ranked pass defense in the country. Florida will be looking for revenge as Vandy beat the Gators in Gainesville last year. The difference is this Commodore team isn’t very good. Florida needs two more wins to become bowl eligible and they’ll likely pick up one of those wins Saturday in Nashville, with the other “guaranteed” win likely being against Eastern Kentucky. Things seem to be clicking at the right time as the Gators still have a shot to get to Atlanta. A win Saturday would only improve those chances. Go Gators and Big Blue!
