Josh McDaniels

He drafted Tim Tebow while the head coach at the Denver Broncos. It may have cost him his job. Now he’s the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots. He wants to be a head coach, since he took the Broncos job before he may have been ready for it. Perhaps Florida is the place where his ambitions and his experience can flourish.

Chip Kelly

After wowing the football world with his fast-paced offense at Oregon, the Philadelphia Eagles brought him on board to institute that offensive firepower in the NFL. So far, it’s working, and the Eagles are looking like a playoff team and Super Bowl contender. Hey, Chip, why not give all that up and start a rebuilding project? I would be very surprised if this happened.

Jim Harbaugh

The San Francisco 49ers head coach is doing fine in the pros, having led his team to the Super Bowl two years ago. But there’s this “locker room” problem within the organization and it looks like he might be out. He’s a former quarterback for Michigan and the Wolverines will probably make a serious play for him.

Mike Smith

His Atlanta Falcons are in freefall for the second straight year and overall, the Falcons have regressed from their playoff contention of a few years ago. This guy’s probably getting fired, so maybe he’ll want the job. He’s a pro guy and worked his way up through defense, but it’s worth throwing him on the list, as I am only a blogger and can’t be held accountable for bad ideas.
