Lane Kiffin
This one’s for the LOLs. Lane Kiffin is the son of a defensive coaching genius who’s making his name as an offensive wizard. Fans will remember him when he dialed up a bunch of nifty plays against the Gators as Alabama’s offensive coordinator. Fun fact: He was fired mid-season as head coach of Southern California after a loss to Arizona State that was very much like the Gator’s homecoming embarrassment. What could go wrong?
Hiring Kiffin would sort of be like hiring Charlie Sheen to do your sitcom. It could be a BIG HIT! Or you could be dealing with a tabloid story. Would be fun though!
Kirby Smart
The defensive coordinator at Alabama, Kirby Smart is highly regarded and many think he’ll be getting head coaching offers soon. But Smart was a former Georgia Bulldog player and is thought to ultimately want to go back to his alma mater. Worthing pointing out that Muschamp was a Bulldog. Fool me once…
Jeremy Pruitt
The defensive coordinator at Georgia is a hot-shot who has the Bulldogs playing very well. Gators fans will get an upclose look at that D in two weeks, a dangerous task for Florida. Pruitt’s only been at Georgia for one year, but his success can’t go unnoticed.
