Florida Gators: 25 Good and Not-So-Good Coaching Candidates

The question of what happens with head coach Will Muschamp is heavy duty lifting following the Gator’s 42-13 thrashing at the hands of Missouri last Saturday. At this point, Muschamp is still the coach and there’s no indication from athletic director Jeremy Foley that he will be fired, despite some fans wanting to see that very course of action on Sunday. Foley said as much in a statement released yesterday.

For now, let’s put the HR stuff aside. Fire him now, fire him later, fire him never, these are tough decisions that are way above my paygrade. Let’s just assume that at some point in the upcoming weeks or months, there’s a vacancy at the head coach position at the University of Florida.
Who would fill it? Who would even want it? Here’s some speculation on candidates, from awesome to ambitious to totally ridiculous.
