Colors: Garnet and Gold. I actually really like with the Garnet and Gold color scheme. The Garnet could represent any number of things. The Seminole Tribe’s bloody history and a color of passion come to mind. Both serve as reminders for intensity and ferocity on and off the field of play. Solid primary color choice by FSU.

As far as Gold goes, I think it’s a solid color choice since everybody strives for the gold standard. It holds their school accountable for representing the university in the best possible way, something not always taken into consideration given some football players checkered past. And shimmering gold has been a unique color to Florida State for a while now, something that wasn’t even touched until Oregon hit the spotlight and made 97 different combinations of their uniforms for one game.

Overall, Garnet and Gold are fine colors for a rival, especially since they don’t blend in with Orange and Blue.
