The Florida Gator football team looks to rebound from their epic collapse last week against Tennessee as they take on Vanderbilt this Saturday. Here are 5 Gators to watch for against Vandy.

This Gator football team is lucky.

Why might you ask?

Well, after losing last Saturday to Tennessee for the first time in 11 years, especially the way they lost, the Gators obviously have to get back in the win column this weekend.

And what better way to accomplish that then to play against a team that’s only beaten you ONCE in the last 28 years.

Yes, I’m talking about those Vanderbilt Commodores.

The last time the Commodores beat the Gators was in 2013 in the Swamp, but the last time Vanderbilt beat Florida at home in Nashville was in 1988.

Last year, when these two teams met in Gainesville, it wasn’t exactly a shootout. Florida had to rely on kicker Austin Hardin, who booted a 43-yard game winner with two minutes left in the game, to give the Gators a 9-7 victory and send them to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game.

This time around there isn’t a trip to Atlanta on the line, but the Orange and Blue should probably play like there is.

In order for Vanderbilt to be Gator Bait this Saturday these five players have to step up for Florida.
