As the Florida Gators are getting ready to take on Texas A&M at 7 PM in College Station, the early slate of Week 7 games gave Gator fans plenty to watch and take note of.

This is what has stood out the most from the early set of games.

So it is possible to score against USF

The Friday night game saw USF take on North Texas in a massive showdown within The American.

USF won the game easily, but it was the North Texas offense that had Gator fans fuming. The Mean Green put up 36 points against USF, 21 of which came in the first half.

When Florida lost to USF in The Swamp, the Gators had a total of, check notes, 16 points.

But hey, now Florida has a second five-star wide receiver healthy, so maybe they could keep up in a rematch.

Ole Miss fans don't show up

For those looking for a selling point to try to convince Lane Kiffin to come to Gainesville, the crowd at the opening kickoff for Ole Miss vs. Washington State was sparse to say the least.

Say what you will for Gator fans, but they find a way to fill The Swamp weekly, no matter the opponent.

Interim coaches can win

If one is worried that firing Billy Napier is a white flag on the season, just look at what is happening at UCLA.

After a lifeless start to their season, they fired their coach.

With a makeshift staff, UCLA has pulled off back-to-back wins after upsetting a Michigan State squad that was favored by 8.5 points.

Black hoodies can win too

One of the running gags with Billy Napier has been his insistence on wearing black on the sidelines and not Gator colors.

Kalen Debor has proven it is possible to win while wearing black. After Alabama's win over Missouri, Debor is now 12-2 when wearing black.

Welcome back to Earth FSU

Here is a wild possibility nobody would have predicted three weeks ago:

If Florida can beat Texas A&M, Florida and FSU will have the record.

FSU is in freefall after losing to Pittsburgh 34-31, and Mike Norvell's seat is starting to get mighty toasty in Tallahassee.
