Florida star freshman infielder Brendan Lawson hit a grand slam home run during the ninth inning of action during Florida's game two series-clinching win against South Carolina. His ninth home run of the season, Lawson extended Florida's scoring total to a whopping twenty-two runs.

Florida would go on to hold the Gamecocks scoreless in the bottom frame of the ninth inning. securing a 22-3 win over Paul Mainieri and his squad.
Florida has now won four series in a row and will look to put the icing on the cake with a sweep later today, which is set to begin roughly fifty minutes following the conclusion of game two.
Florida Gators crush South Carolina for series win
The entire weekend in Columbia has been defined by the weather. Friday night was delayed by three hours, and Saturday's game also had to be postponed to Sunday
Liam Peterson took the mound when the game resumed after throwing just five pitches on Friday and did have some struggles. He wound up going just 3.1 innings, giving up four walks and three hits en route to giving up two runs on the afternoon.
Florida's bats still gave the Gators a 6-2 lead in the 7th after Luke Heyman launched his second home run of the day. It was a 6-3 game heading into the 8th inning when Florida blew the doors open to turn the final score into a football score.
Lawson's grand slam capped off a 16 run onslaught over the final two innings and made it so Jake Clemente didn't have to come out for the bottom of the ninth after throwing two scoreless innings in the 7th and 8th.
Every Gator batter reached base and eight of the nine batters scored at least two runs over the course of the day.
