Wilson, 6’3”, 213lbs, signed with Florida out of Tampa Bay Tech High School in December. He was rated as a five-star recruit by On3 and 247Sports and was the No. 4 wide receiver, No. 3 player in the state of Florida, and the No. 26 player overall in the class of 2025 by 247Sports.Â
Wilson chose the Gators over Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, FSU, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Throughout the course of his four years at Tampa Bay Tech, he accrued 128 total receptions for 2,417 yards and 28 touchdowns, averaging 18.9 yards per catch and 59 yards per game.
Last season alone as a senior he caught 41 passes for 677 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging 16.5 yards per receptions through 11 games.
Wilson, who also ran track in high school is known for speed and his ability to break away from defensive backs with his size and 205 pound frame.
His ability to make plays happen and being strong with hands to make catchers, he’s expected to be a strong impact player for the Gators and beat defenders in the air to make plays offensively.
The Gators signed the EDGE, Woods, 6’3”, 229lbs in November out of Mill Valley High School in Shawnee, Kansas as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, ESPN, ON3 and Rivals. He was the No. 7 EDGE rusher, the NO. 3 player in Kansas, and the No. 75 player overall in the class of 2025 by 247Sports. ESPN also had him ranked as one of their Top-300 recruits.
Throughout the course of his high school career, Woods accumulated 212 tackles (101 solo), 25.5 TFLs, 18.5 sacks, 29 QB hurries, 12 pass break-ups, seven forced fumbles, and an interception.
Woods was also a track and field athlete in high school, winning the Kansas 6A State Champion title in shot put and discus as a junior.Â
Originally a commit to Penn State, he flipped his recruitment to the University of Florida the day before signing day, ultimately selecting and signing with the Gators over Alabama, Kansas, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Texas A&M, among others.
In an interview with Gator Country, Gators offensive line coach Jonathan Decoster described Woods as having “juice.”
“He got juice, and he has power off the edge. I think he’ll be a really good player for,” said Decoster, who also described the freshman as one of the Gators’ top performers in the weight room. He described him as a hard worker on and off the field and someone who is already “locked in” and showing his maturity at a young age.
Both Wilson and Woods are projected to be strong impact players when the Gators open the highly anticipated 2025 season in just a couple weeks.
