Tim Tebow just broke Florida hearts everywhere by supporting the enemy

But at least the great quarterback is a man of his word

Tim Tebow wearing Georgia red was not how any Gators fan wanted to start their Saturday. But a bet is a bet.

With SEC Nation in Athens today for the Texas-Georgia clash, Tebow and fellow host Laura Rutledge, also a Gator alum, had to pay up on a bet they made earlier in the season when they offered to wear a Georgia jersey if the Bulldogs beat the Gators. Well, despite the Gators putting up a strong effort, Georgia prevailed...again...24-20 and...well, a bet is a bet.

"I'm getting dizzy. I'm about to throw up," Tebow quipped.

Tebow did have a little fun of his own by writing on the back of the jersey that he was 3-1 in his career against the Bulldogs.

And of course KIrby Smart had jokes.

"He's only doing it because he doesn't have a coach to be loyal to at Florida right now"

You may have gotten the laughs this year Kirby, but Halloween 2026 is less than a year away and in the words of the great wrestling Dusty Rhodes, "payback is...I mean I ain't gonna say but payback is payback."

Tebow vs. Georgia was a magical time

Tebow wasn't a starter in 2006, that was Chris Leak, but he did have a role in the game, rushing for 35 yards on six carries and that included a big 20-yard run to set up a score in the Gators' 21-14 victory en route to the program's second national championship.

The following year, Tebow won the Heisman, but he didn't get the best of the Bulldogs. Matthew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno were too good despite Tebow throwing for a touchdown and rushing for two more. Moreno just went off, almost rushing for 200 yards.

But the loss just served to motivate Tebow for 2008 and 2009, when the Gators absolutely obliterated the puppies from Athens. Tebow had FIVE touchdowns (two passing, three rushing) in the 49-10 victory in 2008 and then had four touchdowns (two passing, two rushing) the following year as Florida rolled 41-17.

Yeah, Tebow wrecked the Bulldogs and one bad bet won't change that.
