HEY! Do you want to feel SO ENERGETIC?

Try Powerthirst!

Energy drinks for people who need GRATUITOUS AMOUNTS OF ENERGY!

If you are lost by this reference, back in the early days of YouTube, before everything became commercialized content, it was a place where people to just make random a silly videos. One of the viral videos from that time frame was Powerthirst, a satirical energy drink commercial.

But sometimes satire can meet real life, and a new post from Florida coach Jon Sumrall on social media paints a picture that he might just be fueled by Powerthirst.

Florida coach Jon Sumrall might not sleep

Sumrall took to social media to highlight his dual roles right now as head coach of Tulane, who are preparing to take on Ole Miss in the playoffs, and as head coach of Florida, where he is trying to assemble his coaching staff and work on roster retention.

When Sumrall won the American Conference last week, we had said  that he was as amplified as advertised:

“Sumrall looks like a guy who shotguns two Monster Energy drinks for breakfast, then has a Red Bull for lunch, then has raw eggs for dinner while he winds down with a Celsius.”

Part of why Florida fans are coming around on Sumrall after initially being very skeptical of the hire is that he is embracing the role and trying to get everyone to run through a brick wall with him. Obviously, in time, he is going to need to actually win games, or the honeymoon phase will quickly morph into a Will Muschamp 2.0 situation.

But for now, Sumrall is doing everything he can to win over Florida fans and isn’t ready to sleep until the job is done.

Sumrall’s Tulane squad takes on Ole Miss on December 20 at 3:30. The two teams met earlier in the year, with Ole Miss winning in a blowout, but Ole Miss is without their head coach, because reasons.
