The “Road to the Show” now makes a stop in Gainesville! MLB The Show on Tuesday announced its latest for ‘what’s on deck in MLB The Show 26’ and it includes the addition of 11 more college teams in ‘The Road to the Show’ mode.

While not all 11 teams have officially been announced, we can confirm that the list of teams will at least include: The University of Arkansas, Stanford, Michigan, Oregon State, North Carolina, and the University of Florida Gators, which Nick Marcinko of Gator Country posted a sneak peek on X on Tuesday.

The clip shown of Florida in the announcement featured the all-white jerseys with “Florida” on the front and the blue cap with the Florida “F” on the front. The boys from Gainesville were playing on Charles Schwab Field.

Those 11 schools will join the eight schools already featured on ‘Road to the Show’ last year: LSU, Tennessee, UCLA, Cal State-Fullerton, South Carolina, TCU, Texas, and Vanderbilt. This brings the total number of schools featured in the game to 19.

Along with introducing an extended list of teams, MLB The Show is also now licensed to include the NCAA Men’s College World Series format and full bracket. The mode will now include the ability to make it all the way to the illustrious Hall of Fame as ‘Road to the Show’ starts at the collegiate level and takes you all the way to Cooperstown.

The mode is a single player mode, where players control just one player. So at this time it doesn't appear players would be able to control all of Florida, just their pre made custom player.

In addition to the addition of 11 new college teams and the updates to “Road to the Show,” the press release stated that:

MLB has introduced the ability to play in World Baseball Classic ballparks, including the Tokyo Dome and Estadio Hiram Bithorn; a new season of the Negro Leagues with new legends, uniforms, and a new stadium; a more realistic franchise mode with a trade hub system; a more authentic on-field baseball experience throughout the game as a whole, and more.
