Recruiting target Kendall Guervil would strengthen a weak spot on Florida's roster

Kendall Guervil is a defensive lineman out of Fort Myers, listed at 6'4" and 315 pounds. He is currently listed as a four-star prospect in the class of 2026 by all four major services, with 247 having him the highest at 77th overall nationally.

There is a lot to like about Guervil, and given the state of Florida's roster, he might be one of the more important targets the Gators are going after.

Kendall Guervil set to visit Florida

On film, it's easy to see why Guervil is rated as high as he is. He can play inside or outside, and either way, he seldom gets stopped. Teams try to double-team him, and that doesn't seem to work either.

His first step burst would need to be a touch better if he was trying to crack the top 50 nationally, but he is going to walk onto someone's campus next year with the size to be immediately plugged into a Power Four defensive line and not look out of place.

Based on his 247 timeline, he has taken official visits to FSU and Georiga and still has a visit lined up with Texas next week. But he is slated to visit the Gators this weekend, and he is someone the Gators need to land in their class of 2026.

Defensive tackle depth is a massive concern for the Gators in 2025, and once Caleb Banks departs after this season, there is zero proven production at defensive tackle when envisioning the 2026 roster.

The Gators did land the verbal commitment of three-star DL Jamir Perez last month, but they are going to need more when trying to restock the interior of their line.

On3 currently has the Gators as the favorite to land Guervil, and if this weekend's visit can go well, we might just get Billy Napier tweeting out the sunglasses emoji.
