Unlike Colorado, Florida Football doesn't need editing to go viral
One truth of training camp is that teams, whether it's Florida Football or others, will let you see what they want you to see. Media members in Gainesville are often relegated to 10-20 minute windows of practice where rarely anything of substance is happening.
But teams also have the abilty to highlight great things that happen in practice as they see fit. And the Gators, unlike Colorado, didn't need photoshop to pull off a viral clip.
Florida Football: Dart Only
Trikweze Bridges transferred to Florida from Oregon during the offseason. The defensive back is hoping to regain the form he had in 2022 when he took 704 snaps and was considered Oregon's third-best player on defense, according to Pro Football Focus. Last year, he was relegated to 204 snaps in 2023 and was Oregon's 33rd-ranked player on defense.
Based on a clip tweeted out by Florida and then circulated by PFF, Bridges might just be a key cog for the Gator defense in 2024.
His one-hand interception was matched up against Tank Hawkins, who will probably be Florida's fastest player in 2024. More impressive, Florida didn't need to use fancy editing to pull off the clip.
Earlier in the week, Colorado sent out a poorly edited clip with the caption Darts Only that was raked over the coals by everyone on social media. Even Florida's mascot, Albert, hopped in on the fun to put out his own clip of throwing darts.
Florida will open their season on August 31 against Miami, and hopefully, no fancy edits are needed.
