Top-200 prospect, Florida football target Amaree Williams nearing a decision

Florida football has gotten very aggressive on the trail recruiting the 2025 class recently, extending lots of offers and scheduling multiple visits.
Tomorrow, they have a chance to get a return on all of their efforts as a top-200 player from in-state is set to make his decision.
Amaree Williams, a 4-star edge out of Palm Beach Gardens, is set to announce his commitment tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm.
Lots of top schools are in on Williams as his recruitment comes to a close, and the Gators are hoping for a late surge to land the talented pass rusher.
Florida football: Versatility to do anything
Amaree is being recruited as an edge rusher, but is also a talented pass catcher on the offensive side of the ball.
In 2023 he totaled 34 tackles, 8 TFLs, four sacks, two fumble recoveries, and an interception coming off the edge, As a receiver, he caught 16 passes for 424 yards and seven touchdowns.
On3's Industry Ranking has Williams rated as the 185th-best player in the country, the 24th-best EDGE in the 2025 class, and the 24th-best player coming out of Florida. He's rated as high as the No. 7 edge on 247 Sports.
Amaree has taken three trips to The Swamp, all for unofficial visits. His most recent visit was in September of 2023. He's only taken one official visit in total, which was to Florida State in December.
That one OV has FSU as the heavy favorite to land Amaree per On3's Industry Ranking with a 95.9% chance to land him. Every other school involved is below 1%.
Williams is a major in-state target that the whole Big 3 is after, including other schools like Georgia, Alabama, and Texas.
Whichever school earns Amaree's commitment tomorrow is getting quite the player.
