Tim Tebow to represent Florida Football against Michael Vick in video game showdown
For video gamers all across the country, the wait is finally over. EA Sports College Football 25 is set to roll out this weekend, with those who pre-ordered granted early access. As part of the rollout, Florida Football legend Tim Tebow will be taking part in a showcase stream on Twitch.
His opponent will be one of the most iconic sports athletes to ever be used in a video game.
Florida Football: It's In The Game
Tebow was on the cover of NCAA 11 after his time with the Gators came to a close. Of course during his four years at Florida, Tebow could only be referred to as "QB #15." The new CFB 25, the first in the series since 2013, will have real player names and likenesses.
To try and drum up interest in the game, EA Sports is having a "Gameday Showcase" all weekend long on the streaming platform Twitch. Tebow is slated to go head to head against Virginia Tech alum Michael Vick at 8 PM on Saturday.
No clue on the stick skills of either player, but Vick holds his own place in video game lore after he was the cover athlete for Madden 04. Let's just saw Vick might have been slightly overpowered in that edition and is still remembered to this day for being one of the most unstoppable players ever within the confines of a video game.
