Three under-the-radar players for Miami that Florida Football fans should know

Over the past couple of days, we have done our breakdown of the Miami roster and tried to see where we think Florida Football has an advantage and where is might struggle on Saturday. But for as much as the headlines and chatter has surrounded around Cam Ward and Rueben Bain, we wanted to know what other players on Miami's roster might be a pain for the Gators to deal with.

So we reached out to our Fansided sister site Canes Warning, and their site expert, Alan Rubenstein, to see who he thought might be some players we should keep an eye on.

The following are the three players Alan sent us and his description of each player.

Sam Brown (WR)

Other than Martinez and Ward, wide receivers Xavier Restrepo and Jacolby George have received a lot of offseason attention. Sam Brown transferred from Houston to Miami during the spring transfer portal window. Brown is an under-the-radar player for Miami entering the 2024 season.

Brown tied for eighth in the Big 12 with 62 receptions and was 10th in the conference with 915 receiving yards while scoring three touchdowns in 2023. Brown, George, and Restrepo form a rare trip of three returning receivers who each had over 800 yards last season. Miami will be difficult to defend in the passing game.

Elijah Arroyo (TE)

Finally healthy, tight end Elijah Arroyo should benefit from the presence of the three-star receivers for Miami. Arroyo was a four-star signee in the 2021 class who has been recovering from a season-ending knee injury in 2022 for most of the last two seasons. Expect Arroyo to contribute significantly in 2024.

Simeon Barrow (DT)

Barrow earned honorable mention All-Big 10 in his final two seasons with Michigan State in 2022 and 2023. In 30 starts at DT in the last three seasons, Barrow had 110 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, 1,0 fumble recovery and 1.0 forced fumble. Barrow is a key player for Miami stopping the run and as an interior pass rusher.
