Yesterday, it was announced that the NCAA is allowing schools to put corporate sponsors on the field for the 2024 season. Based on the guidelines laid out, schools can place one logo at midfield and two subsequent logos somewhere else.

We don't anticipate Florida Football replacing its midfield Gator head for a sponsoship logo as there would be riots. But combined with the ability to start paying players directly in 2025, the reality is that Florida will probably explore the two smaller logos as a way to generate more money.

The following are the three sponsors Florida should most consider putting on the field if they are going to do it at all.

Gatorade

This feels like a no brainer. The drink invented in Gainesville has been a staple of sporting events for decades. And given the risk some other alternatives have to be soulless and shameful money grabs, there would still a hint of authenticity if Florida opted to put Gatorade on the field as their logo.

Publix

Admittedly, the prices at Publix make it difficult for shopping to be a pleasure. But if we are talking about a perfect tailgate food, nothing can beat a Pub Sub and/or fried chicken from the Florida based grocery store.

Like Gatorade, nothing screams "Florida" more so than Publix.

International Diamond Center

Picking out a third option that wouldn't feel completely like a money grab is tough. When looking at the list of former sponsors for the Gators, some obvious ones like Florida's Air Jordan partnership with Nike stand out, and every man has a price they can't resist.

Likewise, groups like UF Health and Florida Blue would maintain regionalism for the Gators, but it never feels right for the healthcare system to spend money on advertisements.

So screw it, the mostly Florida based jewelry store can get themselves on the field.
