Since getting clobbered by Tennessee on 1/16, Florida basketball has been able to string together a much needed three game winning streak against Missouri, Mississippi State, and Georgia.

In going on this run, there are three key stats the Gators have been able to improve compared to their season average.

Florida Basketball: Improvement

Free Throws

It has been noted time and again that free throws have been a major Achilles heel for the Gators this season. At 68.5% of attempts made, the Gators are still sitting at 285th in the country.

But over the last three games, Florida has made 78.3% of their attempts, including 85% against Georgia. There is still room for improvement as 78.3% is still outside the top 50 when looking at the last three games for everyone in the country, but it is a number that won't make Todd Golden lose sleep at night.

Three Point Shooting

This is another area that hasn't been amazing for the Gators in 2023-24. At 33.1% of three point attempts made, the Gators are 198th in the country.

So on the surface, the uptick to 35.8% of attempts made over their last three games may not seem like a ton, but if that was the season average for the Gators they would be in the top 100 nationally.

Offensive Efficiency

Florida have been one of the highest scoring teams in the country and it isn't just a byproduct of jacking up a bunch of shots. The Gators are 29th in the country at offensive efficiency.

And over the last three games, the Gators have improved their efficiency to a rate that would be the third best in the nation if it was their season long clip.
