It was another busy weekend for Florida Football as a score of high profile recruits came to campus on their official visits, with some already committed to Florida, some committed elsewhere, and most still uncommitted in the class of 2026.

The following are the three highest profile players who stepped foot on campus this weekend for their visit.

Trey McNutt

Listed as an athlete who projects to play safety in college, Trey McNutt is a composite five-star in the 247 and On3 rankings out of the Cleveland, OH area.

He has a great combination of speed and strength on the field and when we profiled him back in April we said:

"It's that same speed that shows up in his play as a safety and he will flash downhill in an instant to greet a ball carrier or to lock on to an intended wide receiver target. But perhaps most impressive is that despite being mostly seen as a speed guy, McNutt has physicality to him and is able to dislodge receivers with the force one would expect from a 210 pound safety, not a 180 pound one."

He has visited USC and according to his 247 profile he doesn't have other visits lined up, but the belief is that Ohio State will be the team to beat for his services.

Caleb Cunningham

Last year, it was the Jeremiah Smith saga as it seemed like the five-star receiver was on campus every other weekend, but he never wavered from his Ohio State commitment. This year the Gators are hoping for a better fate with five-star receiver Caleb Cunningham.

In the case of Cunningham, getting him to leave his home state of Mississippi seems to be the challenge as he has had predictions logged for both Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

When we previously profiled Cunningham we said:

"His film backs up the lofty ranking as Cunningham is a menace on the field. Given his size, he can rise up and make almost any catch thrown his way. He can go over a defensive back, toe-touch the sideline, or leap backward and land on his back.

But he also processes a run after catch ability that is also top tier. Screen plays turn into touchdowns with ease and he feels like a nightmare to try and bring down."

Solomon Thomas

The third of the five-star prospects who were on campus this weekend, Thomas is a local product from Jacksonville but is also already committed to FSU.

But the Gators had the five-star offensive lineman on his visit this weekend with hopes of pulling off an eventual flip.

When we profiled Thomas we said:

"On film there is minimal argument about his composite five-star status. Beyond the fact he already has the size to step on a college campus and look like he belongs, Thomas is an absolute road grader on the field. With seemingly minimal effort he is able to pancake his opponents and he has the type of mean streak we love to see in an offensive lineman."
